Transaction models

Your business model. Your transaction flows - One solution

Nocotax adapts to the way your marketplace operates. Whether you buy and resell, act as a commission agent, or use a hybrid model, we handle the tax calculations and documents for all parties involved.

1

Buy and resell

You sell to the customer

In a buy and resell model, the marketplace buys from the supplier and resells to the customer. The marketplace acts as the seller in the customer transaction.

  • Customer invoices: Generate invoices from the marketplace to buyers.
  • Supplier invoices and self-billing: Handle supplier invoicing workflows, including self-billing when applicable.
  • Tax calculation: Calculate tax based on the relevant transaction details.
  • Document accuracy checks: Check document data for consistency with the underlying transaction.
2

Commission agent

You facilitate the transaction

In a commission agent model, the supplier sells directly to the customer. The marketplace facilitates the transaction and charges a commission.

  • Customer invoices: Support the customer invoicing workflow for the supplier’s sale.
  • Commission invoices: Handle commission-related invoicing on behalf of the marketplace operator.
  • Tax calculation: Calculate tax for the relevant transaction amounts, including commission fees where applicable.
  • Document accuracy checks: Check that document data is consistent with the underlying transaction.
3

Hybrid models

A combination of both

Many marketplaces combine buy and resell and commission agent models, depending on the product, supplier or region. Nocotax supports the different transaction flows within the same platform.

  • Handle different business models in parallel.
  • Generate the relevant documents for each transaction.
  • Apply the appropriate tax calculation and document rules.
  • Keep document data consistent across the different workflows.

Document accuracy

Keep your documents consistent

Nocotax checks document data against the underlying transaction information to help identify discrepancies and keep documents consistent across buyers, suppliers and marketplace operators.
